Responsibilities
Maintain smooth operation of multi‑user computer systems and coordinate with network administrators.
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products; make recommendations for hardware and software purchases.
Coordinate installation and provide backup recovery solutions.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation.
Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system‑wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree
and 0 years of relevant exempt experience required. Equivalent qualifications for Information Technology positions include:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2‑year program plus 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non‑exempt experience
Military Paygrade E‑5 or above military experience
High School/GED plus 4 years of combined Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED plus 8 years of combined Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non‑exempt experience
A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
