ISP Telecommunications Customer Premise Technician - Level IV

Telecom Customer Premise Technician – Level IV Perform detailed installation, integration, and testing of customer premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision.
Your Impact Serve as the final link between field installation and system readiness, ensuring high‑quality integration of fiber equipment and data communications.
Core Responsibilities
Master installation skills and testing per Telco Standards, performing all Level IV duties with high competence and accuracy.
Perform comprehensive fiber system installations, system testing, and integration.
Maintain knowledge of transport equipment including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, etc.
Apply deep understanding of fiber installation standards and procedures.
Read and follow MOPs, order specifications, floor plans, wiring documentation.
Maintain accurate documentation as required.
Interface with customers, vendors, and company employees during testing and deployment of equipment.
Apply company policies, safety procedures, paperwork and administrative requirements; review subordinates’ time and expense documentation.
Comply with system update requirements of all installation documents.
Resolve project‑related issues using defined processes.
Generate MOPs, high‑risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
Perform in‑process and final quality audits to ensure compliance with industry or customer standards.
Specific Duties / Work Operations
Physically install, remove, or modify equipment.
Install cable trays and/or racking from drawings and engineering documents.
Install telecommunications equipment cabinets, servers, switches, routers, repeaters, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls.
Identify, label, measure, terminate, and route power or data cables.
Conduct testing and document performance characteristics of hardware and software.
Perform test and turn‑up and integration activities.
Resolve equipment and technical issues as they arise.
Perform quality validation on in‑process and completed work.
Perform other duties as requested.
Core Experience
Minimum 5+ years’ installation experience or equivalent training and experience.
High school diploma plus two years of technical training in telecommunications field installations.
Apply common sense to perform instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; handle standard variables.
Proficient laptop computer skills and application experience.
Understand company and customer policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) skills.
Valid driver’s license; pass pre‑employment background checks; insurable.
Physical/Work Environment
Travel within home region using a company vehicle; overnight stays may be required and expenses are 100% paid by the employer.
Vertically lift 50 lbs.; stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
Comply with OSHA Standards.
Compensation Base Pay Range: $62,000 USD – $72,000 USD.
