Overview:
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet stringent aerospace and defense industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role oversees quality assurance programs, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other applicable standards. Base pay range: $110,000.00 / yr – $130,000.00 / yr Location: Vancouver, WA Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Manufacturing Industries: Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements. Lead internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits. Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and implement corrective/preventive actions. Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes. Manage supplier quality programs and ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements. Train and mentor staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and root cause analysis. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. 5+ years of experience in quality management within aerospace/defense manufacturing. Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and regulatory compliance requirements. Experience with auditing, corrective actions, and supplier quality management. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.
