Job Summary Leidos is seeking a System Engineer with strong experience in system administration, automation, and security compliance. The ideal candidate will maintain system integrity, performance, and security across critical client/server environments while working closely with a small, mission-focused team that regularly engages with users and customers.
Primarily Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize system integrity, performance, and security across Windows and Linux environments
Implement and support automation solutions for system administration tasks
Ensure compliance with security standards, protocols, and patching requirements
Manage and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
Support identity and access services including Active Directory, LDAP, Centrify, Group Policy, and related network services
Contribute to containerization and orchestration efforts (Kubernetes)
Communicate system issues, risks, and escalations clearly to leadership and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline and 6+ years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of system engineering experience
Strong background in Systems Engineering and System Administration
Deep understanding of security compliance frameworks and best practices
Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking hardware and configurations
Proficiency with Windows and Linux system administration
Familiarity with Kubernetes or containerized environments
Experience with directory services, authentication technologies, and network services
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
