Job Summary
The client is seeking a highly skilled
Configuration Manager
with
ITIL certification
to support the IT Service Management (ITSM) function. This role is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the
Configuration Management process , ensuring accuracy and integrity of
Configuration Items (CIs)
and the
CMDB . The Configuration Manager will collaborate across IT teams to support change, incident, problem, asset management, and overall service reliability. Strong experience integrating
Azure resources with a third‑party CMDB
is required. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management processes aligned with
ITIL best practices
and applicable policies Own and manage the
CMDB , ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance Partner with
Change, Incident, FinOps, Infrastructure, Security, Network, and Application teams Define and enforce CI identification, control, and reporting standards Monitor, audit, and improve configuration data quality Establish and track KPIs for Configuration Management maturity and CMDB health Support
IT governance, risk, and compliance
initiatives Provide guidance on configuration management best practices Required Qualifications
Proven experience in
Configuration Management within an ITIL environment Hands‑on experience managing
Azure resources
and integrating them with a
CMDB Strong experience with
Ivanti Neurons for ITSM , including CI modeling and discovery Solid understanding of
ITIL v3/v4
(Configuration, Change, Incident, Problem Management) Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills Preferred Skills
Experience with
automation and discovery tools Familiarity with
cloud platforms
(Azure, AWS, GCP) Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) Exposure to
audit, compliance frameworks , and government IT policies
