Position Overview Be at the forefront of innovation. ECLARO is looking for an Electronics Specialist – Cogeneration System for our client, a notable public research university in Chapel Hill, NC. If you’re up to the challenge, this rewarding opportunity awaits.
Responsibilities
Provide an intermediate-level skill set in Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (IC&E).
Work independently on less complicated equipment and systems or with minimal instruction and direction from a supervisor or advanced-level technicians.
Install, maintain (preventive, predictive, corrective), troubleshoot, and repair power plant boilers and associated plant auxiliary equipment and fuel handling systems, including PLCs, CDS, VFDs, VDSs, plant electrical systems ranging from 12.47kV to 480V, motor control centers, CEMS, scientific analyzers for water chemistry, steam turbine and diesel generator voltage regulators and governor control systems, and electrical protective relaying.
Work on electrical, instrumentation, and control circuitry on equipment and systems such as instrument air, fans, pumps, valves, control valves, mills, cooling towers, fluid drives, air compressors, water treatment systems, bag houses, fuel handling systems, stack lights, and railroad crossing signals.
Develop, modify, and implement daily reports on the DCS.
With appropriate training, become conversant with EPA and DAQ regulatory requirements pertaining to the CEMS.
Qualifications
Experience in repair and maintenance of a variety of electrical/electronic equipment or systems.
