USELMS Database Analyst

Position Summary Leidos’ Defense Sector is seeking an experienced
Electronic Warfare (EW) and Technical Intelligence professional
to serve as a
United States Electromagnetic Systems (USELMS) Analyst
supporting the
57th Intelligence Squadron ,
365th ISRG ,
363rd ISRW , and
16th Air Force
at
Joint Base San Antonio–Lackland, Texas . The selected candidate will lead
technical and engineering verification
of USELMS database methodologies, validate engineering and intelligence source data, and ensure strict adherence to
EW and Intelligence Community (IC) standards . This role provides expert guidance on analytical workflows and supports modeling activities across
Radar, EO/IR, Communications, ECM, RWR , and other electromagnetic spectrum–dependent systems. The analyst will also help manage acquisition intelligence requirements, RFIs, and Data Quality Feedback (DQF) to ensure that
own‑forces and U.S. commercial parametric data
are accurately captured, prioritized, and delivered to end users.
Primary Responsibilities
Support USELMS Government Acceptance Reviews
Conduct engineering assessments of USELMS database files for Platforms, Radar, EO/IR, Communications, ECM, and RWR systems
Perform independent quality control of technical data, engineering models, and intelligence studies to ensure accurate system behavior representation
Document QC findings and brief government Program Managers to support formal acceptance decisions
Standardize and refine USELMS processes
Develop and maintain consistent processes, standards, and procedures aligned with IMD Production Centers and end‑user feedback
Analyze U.S. and own‑forces systems
Assess Radar, EO/IR, Communications, ECM, RWR, and other EMS‑dependent systems as assigned
Support Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) activities
Conduct preliminary review, QC, filtering, and formatting of foreign‑releasable USELMS models across all Services
Provide NATO emitter database updates for Radar and Communications systems upon approval
Manage USELMS Data Quality Feedback (DQF)
Track, analyze, and resolve DQF reports to maintain data integrity and mission readiness
Support the Acquisition Intelligence Requirement Enterprise System (AIRES)
Manage Blue/White IMD data requests, including: Verifying system activity status; Assigning responsible agencies (57 IS, ARAT, NIWDC); Forecasting model initialization/update timelines using the Hawkeye task management system; Notifying responsible agencies of unmet requirements; Create new AIRES requirement packages for requests originating outside the system
Drive continuous improvement of USELMS processes
Identify inefficiencies and propose modernization opportunities
Enhance data integration with other IC databases via APIs or similar technologies
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Radar Engineering, Physics, or related technical field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A Master’s Degree may substitute for additional experience.
Active TS/SCI clearance with understanding of associated security practices
10+ years of analytical experience.
Experience within the EW community, Intelligence Community, Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) community, or an IMD Production Center.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with USELMS modeling schemas (Radar, Communications, ECM, EO/IR, RWR, Platforms).
Experience handling security markings and CUI.
Knowledge of the Nighthawk analytical toolset.
Background in radar system design/operations/maintenance, Technical ELINT.
