Reporting to: Fabrication Superintendent
Essential Job Functions
Oversee processes on the fabrication floor and all aspects of production, including setup, yields, quality, employee safety, food safety, volume, costs, claims, turnover, and absenteeism. Specialize in trim and packaging operations ensuring product meets customer expectations . Ensure all safety programs are implemented and enforced . Ensure interventions are in place and followed to protect product integrity. Maintain compliance with USDA regulations and foster a positive working relationship with USDA representatives. Develop and lead Supervisors to grow in all areas of the fabrication floor; ensure adequate training is available as needed. Conduct daily meetings with Supervisors and participate in group meetings. Manage daily yields and efficiencies to maintain acceptable levels. Oversee packaging operations, IMS lines, tray formers, and packaging inventory. Experience Required
5 years of management experience in a manufacturing or production environment ; supervisory experience on the fabrication floor preferred but not required. Knowledge of beef cuts and beef production processes. High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. Skills/Abilities Required
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required. Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership abilities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be able to walk and climb stairs for extended periods. Ability to work in a loud environment with slick floors and extreme temperatures (hot or cold). Ability to work 50–55 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays. Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
