Demonstration Sous Chef/Showroom Consultant
Sub‑Zero Group Inc., a distributor of high‑end luxury appliances, seeks a Luxury Showroom Sous Chef/Sales Consultant for our Glendale Heights, IL Showroom. This role serves to provide a best‑in‑class appliance consultation and cooking demonstration; we are solely focused on the customer experience. This role executes the showroom sales process with the goal of building a value‑added relationship with the consumer through each phase of their project. Together, you curate the perfect appliances for their home while building brand alliance and consumer trust. This includes overseeing and managing the consumer’s hand‑off to the retail channel. Another key element of this position provides support to the chef with food preparation, cooking demonstrations, menu development, ordering, and overall operation of the kitchen/dining room. This position will allow for a smooth, efficient, and effective kitchen and enhance our guest experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and present food for events and demonstrations
Assist with menu planning and development
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including post‑event cleanup
Supervise kitchen operations in the Chef’s absence
Support consumer cooking demonstrations and culinary events
Deliver exceptional showroom consultations for planned visits and walk‑ins
Support customers via phone, booking appointments, and uncovering needs
Maintain a beautiful and comfortable showroom environment
Partner with the Showroom Manager to ensure high‑quality service and follow‑up
Support promotional showroom activity/events and overall operations
Schedule Some evenings and occasional weekends required for culinary events; occasional travel to Chicago showroom for events.
Qualifications
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Luxury retail sales experience
Strong cooking and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events
