Qualifications
Preschool Teachers should have knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
Preschool Teachers should have previous teaching or assistant teaching experience from an early childhood program.
Preschool Teachers must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
Minimum 2 years of childcare experience.
Minimum educational requirement of a CDA, degree preferred.
Must be competent, have good listening skills, and be able to work harmoniously with all children and staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Preschool Teachers are responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
Preschool Teacher will implement curriculum and adhere to the daily classroom schedule and procedures.
Preschool Teacher must maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
Preschool Teacher will provide positive verbal recognition and feedback to all students.
Preschool teacher will always be clear and consistent while maintaining expectations for learning and behavior.
Preschool Teacher will conduct assessments of each child and monitor developmental achievements.
Preschool Teacher accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds.
All teachers will attend all required staff meetings, maintain required training hours, attend workshops and school functions.
Requirements
Candiates must have at least 2 years of teaching experience.
Compensation: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
