Summary
A lead teacher for preschoolers is responsible for the academic, social‑emotional, and physical development of children in their care. They work with parents, administrators, and other teachers to create a positive learning environment and meet the needs of the children.
Duties
Curriculum: Plan and implement a curriculum that's developmentally appropriate for the children's age and needs.
Learning environment: Design and maintain a safe, clean classroom that meets the children's changing needs.
Child development: Observe and assess children's development and progress, and communicate their needs to parents.
Activities: Supervise children during activities and help them with personal hygiene skills.
Safety: Ensure the safety of children at all times, including on the playground and in common areas.
Communication: Work with parents and other teachers to improve the children's experience and meet teaching objectives.
Teamwork: Mentor and supervise other staff to foster a team environment and ensure everyone is on the same page.
Requirements
Must be willing to learn.
Must be prompt.
Must love kids.
Must be willing to sign a 1 year contract after 30 days of employment to see if we're a fit for each other.
Positive Attitude.
Have worked with kids with special needs.
Nice to Haves
CPR certification.
18 hours of Pro Solutions Training.
Georgia Teacher Certificate.
