Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Provides patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handles patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to hospital and nursing standards.

May serve as Case Manager to a group of patients. This includes:

Performing initial nursing assessment, communicating findings with the assigned physician, assessing wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating patient status relative to desired outcomes, and identifying situations that require intervention.

Participating in quality improvement initiatives, providing education to patients or caregivers, and serving as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care.

Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training.

May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training.

Collaborates as needed with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.

May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.

Performs other duties as required.

Required Education, Experience & Credentials

Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Current RN license in the state of practice – to be maintained throughout employment.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Medical Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care Certification preferred.

Wound care experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support).

Strong organizational, prioritization and time‑management skills.

Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.

Strong interpersonal, listening, and oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

Customer service skills and follow‑up skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Teaching skills.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Teamwork and ability to stay calm in all situations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and knowledge of computerized nursing systems.

Physical Demands

Stationary position for extended periods of time (≥4 hours).

Repetitive motions; moving about; pushing/pulling; bending/stooping; reaching/grasping; listening; writing; reading; seeing; traveling; lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Work Environment

Normal office environment; exposure to mechanical equipment; patient care environment; electrical current; proximity to moving objects; hazards such as blood‑borne pathogens, body fluids, toxic chemicals, or flammable gases.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $39.88 and $50.26 per hour, based on education, experience, geography, and operational needs.
