How you'll contribute You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan‑of‑care intervention and serving as a patient‑care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire.

What you will do

Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Provide the basic leadership required of a Registered Nurse for subordinate staff on the Unit.

About our Health System North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 198‑bed general acute care facility boasting spacious, private rooms for all patients, a 24‑hour emergency department, medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and short‑stay surgery units. Shoals also operates the region's only in‑patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals' only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.
