Palletizing Operator 1st Shift

Location Lenox, Iowa. The Lenox location produces primarily pre‑cooked egg patties.
Business Unit Overview Michael Foods is a leader in the food processing and distribution industry with products including egg products, refrigerated grocery, and potato products.
Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including LOTO, PPE, PIT, and housekeeping. Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by incorporating safety and health into all tasks.
Always ensures regulatory compliance.
Operate the robotic palletizing machines ensuring cases are properly stacked according to product SKU and line.
Ensure all full pallets are indexed and wrapped with plastic.
Maintain frequent communication with leads and/or supervisor.
Keep empty pallets, slip sheets and other necessary supplies on hand for the job.
Perform preventive maintenance on the equipment as needed.
Determine if product meets proper specifications and take corrective action as needed.
Stack cases of product manually as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and general good housekeeping of the palletizing area, keeping all debris and dirt swept up.
Expected to adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained to maintain SQF Level 3 certification. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co‑workers, and management.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.
Problem‑solving skills to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and handle standardized situations.
Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. safely when handling Chep pallets (team lifting encouraged).
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. continuously when hand stacking cases.
Ability to work independently.
Basic computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets and word processing.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a continuously cold environment and navigate stairs.
Adherence to PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policies, including robotic palletizing equipment.
Ability to operate specific equipment or tools as required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform essential duties.
