Job Description
The Visual Associate, under the direction of the Visual Manager, creates an exciting visual environment in the store and supports all visual initiatives. Responsibilities include merchandising the floor, creating window displays, and updating mannequin apparel according to Saks Fifth Avenue standards.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency in "selling floor readiness" before store opening.
Follow Visual Manager and Corporate Visual team directives and guidelines.
Execute promotional and sale set-up: presentation, lettering, signage.
Assist Sales Support Team with trunk shows and personal appearance set-ups and preparation.
Assist in replenishing merchandise on selling floor and wall units.
Ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years visual team experience in a major multi-level department store, with a portfolio of projects.
Ability to use carpentry tools safely and efficiently.
Experience in painting techniques.
Experience with basic production and knowledge of materials.
Experience in styling and fashion pulls.
Strong knowledge of current fashion and art trends.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
