Department: Cardiac ICU, Stepdown, etc.
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm, rotating shifts

Responsibilities
Collaborate with the health care team to provide social, emotional, and developmental support during a pediatric patient's illness and hospitalization.
Supply a caring and secure atmosphere for patients and their families in pediatrics.
Collaborate with the health care team to plan appropriate interventions.
Develop and/or participate in outreach and educational activities to teach families, staff, and the community about issues and services related to ill and hospitalized children.
Maintain proper education to continue with professional development.
Requirements
Child Life Professional obtained within 12 months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education
Bachelor's degree required.
Additional Preferences This child life specialist will provide emotionally safe care for pediatric patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings including the cardiac ICU and stepdown units, presurgical appointments, and cardiovascular clinics. The position is primarily days, with some evenings and weekends required.
