Position Summary The Transition Teacher will provide comprehensive and specialized instruction to students in the Transition Academy including ages 18-22 who have developmental and physical disabilities. Instruction will be provided across all environments including the classroom, community, and job site. The primary goal of the Transition Teacher is to provide specialized instruction in an individualized program for students to empower them for life after high school.
Qualifications
Oklahoma Teaching Certification with an endorsement of Mild/Moderate Special Education or Severe/Profound Special Education
Three (3) years working in a self-contained special education classroom
Other Requirements
Within a school year, be able to demonstrate computer literacy through the accurate use of EdPlan (state IEP program)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
