Environmental Specialist (Plant Level)
Assist the plant Environmental Manager with environmental program implementation and develop an understanding of regulatory requirements with a focus on waste and water. This position reports directly to the site Environmental Manager and is a member of the plant environmental department. The primary employee will manage environmental data in the data tracking software for the heavy manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
Prepare and submit water & waste related compliance reports.
Conduct water & waste quality assessments and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, NJ, and local regulations.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections and audits.
Monitor changes in water quality regulations and update company policies accordingly.
Provide training and guidance to site staff on water and waste compliance and best management practices.
