Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Cath Lab Tech for a 13‑week travel assignment in Salt Lake City. The role involves assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, managing equipment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
One year recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications
Other certifications and licenses may be required
Essential Work Functions
Prepare and position patients for procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies.
Assist physicians by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic equipment.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and monitoring systems.
Scrub and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring infection control.
Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices.
Maintain accurate documentation and inventory management.
Adhere to radiation safety, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication.
Proficiency in English, reading/writing, following instructions, PC skills.
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, bend.
Ability to work effectively with varied personnel, maintain professionalism.
Technical and motor skill for fine manipulation during procedures.
Capacity to handle high‑pressure situations, irregular schedules, and detailed concentration.
Visual acuity and effective communication.
