Established in 1924, the golf course has long been referred to as "a hidden gem" and the clubhouse is a designated historical building by the Palos Verdes Historical Society.

A Kitchen Steward's duties include but are not limited to:
Carry out general cleaning of kitchen including but not limited to: wiping down walls and ceilings, scrubbing floors, de-liming sinks and faucets, cleaning ovens, disinfecting food prep surfaces, cleaning out walk-ins, cleaning and maintaining ice machines, sorting and cleaning dry storage areas, cleaning vent hoods, wiping down tables and carts, sanitizing bus tubs, etc.
Wipe down grill, range, flattop, and fryer; wash can openers, meat slicers, and other equipment
Clean floor mats and ensure floor area is dry and safe; sweep, mop, and scrub floors
Wipe up any spills as they occur
Clean and maintain employee break room; change table linens daily and as needed, clean and re‑stock condiments table as needed
Clean and maintain employee break room service area; clean and sanitize dish rack, microwave, beverage dispenser, sink, trash can, and floor; transfer bus tubs to dish pit as necessary
Clean and sanitize employee break room buffet stations
Sort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areas
Clean garbage cans with water or steam daily
Ensure waste bin area and loading dock is kept clean and tidy
Ensure drains are kept free of debris; clean and sanitize drains
Sort, rinse, and clean dirty items and place in appropriate racks to run through machine
Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items; send soiled items back for re‑scrubbing and re‑washing
Monitor cleanliness of washed dishes and rewash dishes as needed
Organize and stack clean dishes and store in proper areas
Maintain a proper, neat, clean, and safe dishwashing area
Organize supplies and inventory
Clean and/or prepare food as directed
Assist with the set‑up of dishes, equipment and other items for banquets and special events
Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars
Set up and break down work station at the start and end of each shift
Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side work
Communicate supply, maintenance, safety and storage needs to management promptly
Assist fellow employees as needed throughout the shift
Perform other duties as assigned
The successful candidate:
Minimum 2 years' dishwashing and/or kitchen experience in a restaurant environment ¨
Basic knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment/machinery ¨
Basic knowledge of proper chemical handling preferred ¨
High school diploma or equivalent preferred ¨
Serv‑Safe Food Handler certified
