Responsibilities

Complete health record deficiencies related to patient care, regulatory, compliance, legal, and reimbursement activities. Perform birth certificate completion and state registry updates. Audit analyzed inpatient and outpatient medical records for required physician documentation for state and federal guidelines. Collaborate daily with the patient access department, nursing units, coding department, and providers. Work the discharged, not final billed (DNFB) list to its conclusion. Interview patients for birth certificate completion, entering the information into the electronic state registry as required. Enter and update R1 software (epars, PAS, Chart Manager) for central business office requests, denials, and DNFB activities. Monitor task queues for data integrity issues including duplicates, overlaps, and overlays. Initiate the medical record suspension process according to facility and regulatory requirements. Perform medical record deficiency analysis and re-analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Perform quantitative reviews of the medical record and monitor the quality of the global team functions. Maintain data collection spreadsheets as required. Required Skills

High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Base Pay

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.00 - $21.88 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Benefits
