Position Summary And Responsibilities
The Shuttle Driver will deliver loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and return the empty trailers back to the branch.
Deliver loaded trailers to shuttle depot and pick up empty trailers to return.
Maintain delivery time windows.
Immediately communicate problems with supervisor.
Perform duties by following the company’s safety standards.
Represent Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude, following dress code and cleanliness standards.
Education And or Work Experience Requirements
Must have a good driving record with no more than 1 moving violation in the past three (3) years.
Applicant must pass required Drug and Physical Screening. At least 1 year of DOT driving experience required.
Must have a valid state issued Class A CDL driver’s license with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
Must be DOT certified. If you are not able to climb in and out of tractor, then you cannot be DOT certified.
Ability to operate/drive a single axle with 28 ft., 36 ft., and 48 ft., trailers with tandem axle tractors.
Must have High School Diploma or GED – Work experience may be substituted for education.
Physical Requirements
Able to perform repetitive lift over 50lbs.
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
Must be able to climb in and out of truck and trailer.
Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.

We use dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. The videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.
