Registered Nurse - Short Stay Observation Unit
Position Highlights: As a Registered Nurse, you will provide individualized, high-quality care to cancer patients and their families in alignment with hospital standards, the ANA Code of Ethics, and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities
Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for cancer patients and families.
Integrate patient- and family-centered care principles and quality caring factors into daily practice.
Provide patient education based on individual learning needs.
Participate in evidence-based improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Ideal Candidate
Pain management and patient comfort
Patient education to support recovery and self‑care
Drain care and postoperative monitoring
Effective communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Proficiency in admission and discharge processes
Strong teamwork and collaboration across disciplines
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport
This role requires a nurse who is empathetic, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering safe, high‑quality care in a supportive environment.
Credentials & Qualifications
Education: BSN with 1 year of relevant experience or ASN with 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.
Licensure: Current Florida RN license.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
