Packaging Operator

Responsibilities
Relieve cooker/molder operator as needed.
Assist cooker/molder operator to change RMC molds.
Submit samples for laboratory testing.
Assist CIP crews in tear downs of curd tables.
Perform CIP on tables as needed.
Clean the Curd Augers.
Monitor curd pH and ingredients.
Add salt to tables.
Complete production logs accurately.
Keep work area clean and maintain up to 5S standards.
Maintain safe working conditions and comply with all state and federal health and safety regulations.
Dedicate effort to safety so that employees leave work in the same condition they arrive.
Follow all DFA GMP practices and work in a manner consistent with corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity.
Attend required training, including safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Basic math experience required.
No certification or license required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to participate in the safety observation program.
Ability to follow all safety, GMP, and HACCP programs.
Ability to work safely around chemicals and moving equipment.
Ability to maintain a work area up to 5S standards.
