Rebate Coordinator

About the role This position primarily tracks corporate vendor rebate programs and ensures all earned amounts are received and collected. It also assists the Treasurer in leading and directing activities related to the proper accounting and handling of the company’s common and preference shares.
Responsibilities
Ensure vendor rebate programs for parent company and subsidiaries are accurately set up in the Vendor Portal and loaded accurately in the Vendor Rebate Tracking System.
Verify all rebates earned are collected, analyze rebate programs, and work directly with vendors to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
Work with Merchandising, LBM and other team members to set up and interpret rebate programs, and help problem solve new programs and understand existing ones.
Maintain accurate records and history of rebate programs; serve as source of record.
Problem solve billing issues with vendors and internal departments during the rebate collection process.
Assist in proper and accurate reporting, issuance, repurchase and transfer of stock/shares to maintain company records.
Assist in the management of preference share repurchase and advance loan programs, ensuring compliance with member projects.
Answer questions related to share repurchase, year‑end member rebate, and loan programs.
May serve as backup to manage and compile the Board of Directors Consent Agenda, working closely with the Assistant Corporate Secretary and CFO.
May work closely with SBD and others within Finance to develop and execute member programs.
May serve as backup for daily Treasury operations.
Education & Experience Minimum
Associate Degree in business with a concentration in accounting (preferred) or several years of related accounting and finance work experience.
Experience working with vendors and accounts payable, invoicing, payment terms, and managing multiple tasks and people (preferred).
