Laser Operator (2nd Shift)

Shifts: 2nd 3:00 pm–1:00 am (9/80 scheduled). 9‑hour shifts; off every other Friday.
12% differential pay for swing shift.
Core Responsibilities
Set‑up and operation on CNC Laser and other production machines (e.g., lathes and mills).
Problem‑solve any issues that may occur with machinery and/or material.
Work with a variety of measuring and inspection devices, hand tools, and identify different types and thicknesses of materials.
Utilize inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, overlays, and pin gauges.
Pay exceptional attention to detail, handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures, and complete assignments accurately and on time.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Plan and perform difficult work processes.
Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with employees at all levels.
Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively.
Work in a challenging and schedule‑driven environment.
Learns and adheres to required safety and housekeeping standards and practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; plus 3+ years of experience.
U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency required.
Prefer background in Aerospace Industry.
Set up and program machinery to cut sheet material and create fixtures per customer specifications.
Analyze drawings and specifications; determine tooling by applying knowledge and experience of metal properties, machining, and processes.
Work with toolmakers, engineers, and quality to give feedback and resolve problems regarding tolerances.
Inspect tools using calipers, micrometers, overlays, and pin gauges to determine tolerance relative to customer specifications.
Daily maintenance and clean‑up of machines; align machines when issues arise.
Learns and adheres to required safety and housekeeping standards and practices.
