The Shipping / Warehouse / Material Handling Associate at Aqua-Chem performs assigned warehouse duties in the shipping and receiving department. Responsibilities include the picking and packing of materials. Light assembly duties include packaging, shrink wrapping and palletizing loads, making custom boxes, building wood crates, loading and unloading shipments. General labor assignments as needed. Schedule: FT, Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm. Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN. Pay Range: $20.00 – $24.00/hr (Dependent on Experience).

Essential Duties
Pull orders from warehouse, label and organize for shipment, stage material in shipping area.
Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
Operates various pieces of equipment (i.e. Loader, Pallet Wrapper, Forklift, and Pallet Jacks).
Follows good manufacturing practices and required safe work practices.
Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Builds crates using light carpentry skills.
Light Assembly work as required.
Unloading and Loading Trucks – use of forklift may be required.
Warehouse Stocking and 5SCycle counting inventory.
Proficient using tape measure, power tools, nail guns.
Highly Motivated and able to work independently.
Excellent organizational, time management and teamwork skills.
Must know, understand, and abide by all plant safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned/required by Supervisor or Manager.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
1-3 years of related experience, preferred.
Basic math and reading proficiency.
Warehouse and Inventory counting experience preferred.
Picking, packing and fulfillment.
Light carpentry Skills, preferred.
Packaging and Crate Building Training and work experience.
Certification in the operation of a forklift truck is not necessary, but would be considered a plus.
Familiarity with international shipments, preferred.
Previous experience with ERP or equivalent computer systems.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Work requires accurate and coordinated manual skills.
Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs.
Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures.
Will require working in areas up to 15 feet from the ground.
Able to work overtime as required.
