Oncology Clinic and Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) – Conroe, Tx

Responsibilities
Oncology Clinic RN
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards.
Assess health status by interviewing patients and reviewing medical history.
Provide teaching, psychosocial support, and resources to patients and families.
Manage medication refill requests, schedule consultations and diagnostic tests, triage phone calls, and coordinate services.
Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Infusion Clinic RN
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards.
Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision, ensuring correct medication, dosage, route, and technique.
Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
Facilitate dose modification by assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plans, calculating doses, and consulting physicians.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
Education / Training
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
Active RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education.
Experience Levels
Level I – Entry to 3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level II – Minimum 3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level Senior – Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year in oncology; oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions The position requires a work environment that may expose nurses to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Physical Requirements Full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients, is required. Nurses must demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, and the ability to stand and walk for extensive periods. Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 40 lbs is expected. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are required.
