About the Position AlliedTravelCareers is working with Aequor to find a qualified Special Education Teacher in Mission, TX. Aequor is hiring a full‑time SPED teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. The role involves collaborating with other classroom teachers, school psychologists, learning disabilities specialists, speech/hearing specialists, and school social workers to provide an integrated plan for developing students’ capacities.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other classroom teachers, school psychologists, learning disabilities specialists, speech/hearing specialists, and social workers to develop and implement integrated student plans.
Set learning goals for each student, assess progress, and record evaluations.
Update parents on student progress and enlist parental support with behavior control and home activities.
Supervise and train teaching assistants.
Help plan the transition of students to productive lives after secondary education.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education.
Active Special Education Credential.
1 year of special education experience (preferred).
Able to relocate before starting work (required).
