Position Overview Working Title: OPS DENTAL ASSISTANT - 64918026. This position is assigned to the Operations and Management Consultant II to perform chair‑side assistance to the dentist. The assistant must assist with preventive, therapeutic and surgical clinical procedures such as dental prophylaxis, sealants, restorations, and extractions. The role requires close interaction between patients, the dentist, and other dental staff and demands effective communication, professionalism, and confidentiality. Degree/License/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent. Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate, Dental Radiology Certificate, and Basic Life Support Certification are required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Skilled in placing sealants, assisting the dentist, and working independently.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certificate.

Florida Dental Radiography Certificate.

Basic Life Support Certification.

Willingness to accept the offered salary.

Preferred: Graduate from a formal accredited dental assisting school and six months of dental assisting experience.

Understanding of dental operations, compliance, and quality requirements related to the provision of dental care services; successful collaboration with the dentist.

Experience with pediatric patients, sterilizing instruments, assisting with dental procedures, exposing dental X‑rays, and instructing patients in oral hygiene.
