CanyonVet New Braunfels is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You As a Vet Tech, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Obtain patient history and provide client education
Maintains animal records
Assist doctors with appointments and surgeries
Help with the check in/check out process
Restraining pets
Administer medications and vaccinations
Place IV catheters
Perform blood draws
Anesthesia monitoring
Maintain supplies and equipment
Completes laboratory tests and diagnostics
Maintains safe and clean environment
Performs any other duties as assigned
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Veterinary technician licensure preferred, not required
Minimum 1 year experience as a Veterinary Technician
Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, doctors, management, and hospital personnel
Is self‑motivated
Able to multitask
Has a desire to help animals and people
Must have attention to detail

We are open Monday‑Friday 7:30am-6pm and Saturday 7:30am-12pm
