Respiratory Therapist- GIG/Flex/Per Diem/PRN - Springfield
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness. Act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff. Perform duties as assigned.
Overview Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
Meets state licensure requirements and holds a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
For co‑workers who work in the Emergency Room: PALS is required. ACLS is required.
Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation.
Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.; pinch up to 10 lbs.; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
Preferred: critical care experience.
GIG Highlights
$30 (CRT) – $35 (RRT) per hour base rate.
W‑2 employee.
Variable shift incentives.
4, 8, or 12‑hour shifts available.
Flexibility in day/night and number of hours worked.
No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement.
