Position Summary: Opening Summer 2026 at 4000 Lakeland Highlands Road, Lakeland, FL. Responsibilities

Create a climate of empowerment and trust in team members and support participative leadership. Administer and coordinate operational activities and projects as assigned by the Corporate Stroke Program Director. Develop and implement plans with nursing and hospital leadership to address specific stroke metrics and goals. Effectively influence others who do not report to him/her and demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills. Monitor quality and regulatory standards while achieving hospital and corporate goals. Develop and maintain partnerships with national, state, and local EMS and community partners. Serve as a liaison for the hospital nursing leadership council and representative for the Corporate Stroke Program on multidisciplinary councils. Assume day‑to‑day responsibility for process and performance improvement activities related to nursing and allied health team members. Coordinate the continuum of stroke care, including planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines. Participate in case review, implement practice guidelines, and direct community stroke education and prevention programs. Monitor clinical processes, outcomes, and system issues related to quality of care, develop quality filters, audits, and case reviews. Supervise collection, coding, scoring, and development of processes for validation of data and facilitate performance improvement activities. Participate in the development of stroke care systems at the community, state, or national level. Complete a minimum of eight stroke‑related continuing education hours annually. Supervise and collaborate with the Clinical Specialist II to ensure data is being collected and analyzed to drive process improvement. Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health care, business, or a related field; graduate of an approved school of nursing. Licensure/Certification: Current Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Florida; maintain a certification in neuroscience or stroke nursing, or obtain within 2 years of hire. Experience: Three years of closely related experience, including two years of management experience preferred.
