Job Title Surgery Veterinary Assistant
Proposed Schedule Wednesday‑Friday, 7 a‑7 p
What you’ll do:
Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments.
Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations.
Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographs.
Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork.
Ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Open, turn over and clean operating rooms, as well as clean instruments and wrap packs.
Who are you:
Prior veterinary experience required, previous surgery experience desired.
Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
