Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides excellent customer service by:
Assisting customers and answering questions about produce.
Cleaning, filling, and rotating perishable displays.
Maintaining accurate inventory and shelf tags.
Ensuring produce is stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Cooperating with other departments to support daily store operations.
Qualifications
Read and write in Spanish and English.
Comprehend and follow simple written and spoken instructions.
Write simple correspondence as needed.
Effectively present information to customers and coworkers.
Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lb, frequently 45 lb, and occasionally 60 lb.
Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
Preferred Skills
Basic PC and Outlook proficiency.
Retail Management Certificate.
