Our client, a medical device company, is seeking an R&D Engineer for a role in Atlanta, GA.
Job Description
Lead New Product Design efforts, driving development of new products in the pipeline and managing existing products.
Conduct Voice of Customer + clinical immersion, CAD, prototyping, development of test protocols, technical methods, drafting test reports in a document-controlled environment.
Manage Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain for existing products (Project Management).
Perform benchtop Verification and Validation Testing – Provide engineering support for released products.
Design optimization, feature updates, product modifications, manufacturability improvements.
Job Requirements
BS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
Background in design, development, and manufacturing of medical devices (familiar with 21 CFR 820).
Strong CAD skills (components, assemblies, drawings) – Fusion360 or SolidWorks.
Good communicator, highly motivated, strong ownership.
Self‑starter/independent, well organized, curious, problem‑solver.
2–5 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Environment of Work
Primarily office setting (in‑person) with some work in a healthcare/surgical environment – ability to get credentialed for the healthcare/surgical environment.
Able to commute to office in Marietta.
Lifting requirements Job Type
Business hours 8 am–5 pm EST Monday–Friday; may require work outside these hours.
