Our client, a growing retail and shopping center development firm, is seeking an experienced

Construction Manager

to oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, quality, and risk across an expanding portfolio in Southern California.

This role sits at the center of the development process, managing property operations, tenant design/build coordination, lease review, and communication across internal and external teams. It is an opportunity to be at the forefront of major development projects with meaningful growth potential.

Responsibilities

Oversee all construction activities from pre-construction through close-out

Provide strategic input on design, planning, and ongoing construction needs

Manage schedules, budgets, approvals, permitting, and documentation

Lead subcontractors and trades; maintain strong vendor relationships

Ensure safety and compliance standards are met

Coordinate tenant improvements and build-outs

Review contracts and leases; process vendor invoices and lender draws

Prepare project reports and lead standing meetings

Qualifications

5+ years of construction project management experience, ideally in retail/shopping centers

Experience with tenant coordination and shopping center operations

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Fluent in Mandarin and English

Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and construction/project management software

Self-starter with strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
