General Ledger & Reporting Specialist
to join our
Corporate AF&C Function
in our Offices in Milan.
Reporting directly to the General Ledger & Reporting Manager, the role will involve:
IFRS16 compliance and lease accounting: ensure proper recognition, measurement, and reporting of leases according to IFRS16 standards.
Assets accounting: manage fixed assets lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and related reporting.
Masterdata process: maintain and update master data for General Ledger and related systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across platforms.
Managing selected General Ledger accounting activities to ensure compliance with local and group accounting standards and statutory financial requirements.
Supporting effective internal controls by maintaining proper documentation, evidence, and full reconciliation of General Ledger account balances with source data.
Ensuring timely and accurate book closing in line with the Group closing calendar.
Assisting accounting managers and controllers in resolving accounting issues or anomalies, promptly highlighting them and providing recommendations.
Actively participating in projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement and automation.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
Fluent in English – knowledge of other European languages (German, French, Spanish) is a plus.
Degree in Economics or related field.
Up to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within an international industrial group.
Strong IT skills: MS Office Suite and SAP (MM, FI, CO).
Advanced Excel proficiency.
Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts or coding solutions (e.g., VBA, Python) to streamline reporting and reconciliation processes.
Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
Decision making attitude, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong teamwork skills, results oriented and ambitious mindset.
