Aircraft Fuel Systems Maintenance Supervisors
to lead fuel tank maintenance operations in
Melbourne, Florida . This role is designed for experienced A&P licensed professionals who bring deep fuel systems expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.
Job Summary The Aircraft Fuel Systems Maintenance Supervisor oversees aircraft fuel tank maintenance operations while ensuring regulatory compliance, proper documentation, technician training, and safe execution of all assigned tasks. This role provides direct supervision, technical guidance, and hands on leadership within a Part 145 repair station environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise aircraft fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration tasks
Ensure maintenance methods, techniques, practices, tools, equipment, and data are properly utilized
Maintain continuity of maintenance and ensure proper documentation and shift turnover
Ensure confined space entry procedures are properly executed and monitored
Verify personnel have appropriate experience, knowledge, and training prior to task assignment
Supervise, train, and assist technicians unfamiliar with fuel system maintenance practices
Provide consultation and technical guidance for maintenance activities in progress
Ensure only qualified mechanics sign off on completed work
Ensure maintenance records are completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements
Verify work is performed in accordance with applicable technical data
Ensure on the job training is documented and forwarded to the Training Department
Maintain clean, organized, and orderly work and shop areas
Ensure proper handling of parts during and after maintenance activities
Ensure completion of customer requirements for parts supplied by customers
Verify all required tags and forms are properly completed and attached
Delegate duties to qualified personnel while retaining accountability for outcomes
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facility Manager
Maintain awareness of applicable FARs including Parts 145 and 43
Support flexible scheduling and work in confined spaces as operationally required
Required Qualifications
FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required
Minimum of four years of aircraft fuel system maintenance experience
Qualification compliance as directed under RSM Section 4.6.9
Eligibility and qualification under 14 CFR Part 145.153 for supervisory duties
Ability to lead, train, and supervise maintenance personnel
Strong knowledge of aircraft fuel system maintenance practices and regulatory requirements
Preferred Skills
FAA A&P license with demonstrated ability to teach and mentor technicians
Work Environment
Flexible work schedules based on operational demands
Ability to work in confined spaces and small areas
Exposure to typical aircraft maintenance shop environments
