Pay:
$55 to $63 per hour
Position Summary Preference given to candidates available for a full schedule through the end of January and the first week of February. Day shift, 12-hour shifts. Start date: 1/17. Minimum compliance requirements must be met prior to starting; full compliance profile must be completed within two weeks after the start date. Position is Per Diem for 26 weeks. Required Compliance Items: Active nursing license verification BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination
The MRI Technologist performs a variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures on patients of all ages to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The technologist ensures high-quality images, patient safety, and compliance with all established protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
Verify patient identity, obtain pertinent medical history, and ensure proper screening for MRI safety.
Position patients and operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, maintaining effective communication throughout the exam.
Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting to the radiologist for interpretation.
Maintain accurate records of exams performed, contrast usage, and patient information.
Follow radiation and MRI safety protocols, including magnet zone regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and work area.
Assist with training new technologists or students when assigned.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
Certification/Licensure:
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
State licensure as applicable.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred.
