Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and research industry, is seeking a LAB Technician II to join their team. As a LabTechnician , you will be part of the Quality Control Department supporting the Optically Clear Adhesives lab team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent manual dexterity, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lab Technician Location: Maplewood, MN (100% onsite) Pay Range: 18 to $21 p/h w-2 Duration 12 month contract What's the Job?
Prepare materials and organize for product testing.
Assist in laboratory experiments through testing and evaluation of new materials and products based on research.
Perform mechanical performance tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
Test or make visual observations on product samples from competitors and communicate test results to the appropriate requester.
Conduct hands-on tests with multiple pieces of equipment, moving, arranging, and hanging product testing weights (2lbs-20lbs).
What's Needed?
1-2 years of experience as a Lab Tech or related field; open to new graduates.
Ability to lift/carry at least 25 pounds and perform high-repetition lifting of 5-pound weights.
Comfortable using a ladder or step stool to work from elevated surfaces.
Proficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Experience with MS office
