The

Communications Representative

with

Public Affairs

is a writer and visual content producer who can develop and execute communication strategies and high‑quality photo and video content for external and internal use.

Responsibilities

Help build and execute communications strategy for external and internal use

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft effective messaging

Align messaging with leadership and business priorities

Write, edit, and publish accurate and engaging communications for external and internal use to include press releases, social media, talking points, and other official company communication

Have capacity to capture, design, and edit high‑quality visual materials including videos, photos, graphics, and other digital content

Support efforts around media relations and media outreach

Support crisis communications strategy and messaging

Assist with communications support for business initiatives and assigned client groups

Understanding of analytics and media monitoring to improve engagement

Stay up to date with current affairs, industry news, and trends

Work independently under general supervision; take ownership of basic to moderately complex deliverables

Support with community engagement and outreach opportunities

Qualifications

Intermediate individual contributor in a professional role. Works independently within an established framework, receiving detailed instructions only on new assignments. Possesses specialized knowledge and skills required to perform the role. Applies practical knowledge, learned theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies to difficult but non‑complex, conventional assignments. Majority of work efforts are focused on meeting objectives related to implementation or delivery of processes, programs, and/or policies.

Builds productive internal and external working relationships

Bachelor's degree or additional role‑relevant experience. 2+ years of relevant experience preferred

2+ years of communications experience including writing / editing content for print and digital communications channels

Ability to exercise confidentiality and demonstrate high integrity / professional standards

Strong communication and presentation skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products such as Premier Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom

Understanding of content management systems such as Wordpress

Ability to use digital collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Slack (preferred)

A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Function in a fast‑paced, office environment

Work extended hours; sit for extended periods

Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more
