This registered professional nurse will function within the full scope of RN licensure, according to the California Nursing Practice Act. The RN duties include communicating with Physicians and other Registered Nurses about patient needs, administering IVs and medications to aid their patients’ health, and using medical equipment to monitor patients’ vital signs. The RN will provide assessment, development, and implementation of the care plan, evaluating the effectiveness of that care, directing emergency interventions, and collaborating with physicians, team members, and others to optimally manage patient care in the interest of the patient, acting as a patient advocate when necessary.**Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:**Pay Range:

$58.68 - $73.84 - $88.00**Essential Functions and Responsibilities****Individual*** Triages patients’ physical symptoms appropriately and consults with physicians per protocol.* Assesses symptoms and provides appropriate patient follow-up.* Provides pre- and post-procedure education for patients.* Educates patients about their condition and explains treatment options as directed by the physician.* Teaches patients the importance of self-monitoring, managing their condition, and accessing appropriate resources.* Reviews daily lab/test results, physician tasks, and clinical worklists as assigned.* Assists the Nurse Supervisor and/or Director with nursing practices and participates in developing policies and protocols for patient care.* Initiates and maintains personal professional development through continuing education.* Maintains patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Team*** Responds to emergencies and supports the team in acute situations.* Assists in maintaining safety equipment and the emergency cart within the clinic.* Ensures all documentation is accurate and audit-ready.* Promotes communication and collaboration with clinical managers, physicians, and staff to ensure patient safety and adherence to clinic protocols.* Identifies work-related problems and provides solutions, continuously seeking ways to improve services.* Occasionally covers for other staff as necessary, both inter- and intra-departmentally.* Notifies the Clinical Lead of changes affecting their schedule.**Practice*** Represents the clinic professionally in interactions with patients, families, and the community.* Participates in clinic meetings as required.* Contributes to special projects as assigned.* Participates in educational seminars provided by the clinic or within the community.* Demonstrates initiative and fosters cooperation between departments.**Qualifications:**Education:* • Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.* • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Licenses and Certifications:* Current Registered Nurse California license.* BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.Experience:* • Three to five years of practical RN experience; outpatient experience preferred.* • One to two years of practical experience in a physician’s office or medical office setting preferred.**Accommodation:**Qualified applicants with disabilities may request reasonable accommodation during the application process by contacting Human Resources at 415-925-7040 or TalentAcquisition@mymarinhealth.org.**C.A.R.E.S.
