THE COMPANY : Meadowbrook Village Christian Retirement Community is a non‑profit organization in Escondido that opened in 2009. We are licensed as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and offer independent, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Job Description:
We’re looking for responsible, friendly, and service‑oriented individuals to join our kitchen team in preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our seniors. The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) will oversee the food service operations at our Oasis Care Center, which houses our skilled nursing and memory care residents. As a small facility (41 max occupancy), we take pride in personalized service and creatively meeting the nutritional needs of the residents entrusted to us.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:
Train and supervise dietary staff to prepare nutritional and appetizing food while following state and federal regulations
Confer with dietitian and nursing staff to ensure food offerings meet individuals' needs and preferences
Coordinate with Main Kitchen chef for scheduling shared employees and for occasional special events
Plan menus, place vendor orders, track inventory, and maintain emergency supplies
Participate in staff meetings as assigned
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, OSHA working conditions, and residents' rights
To carry out these responsibilities successfully, candidates should have the following qualities:
Must hold a current, valid dietary manager certification or be qualified and willing to complete certification
Prior professional cooking experience is required,long-term care cooking experience preferred
Available to work on holidays as needed
Have a positive attitude and service‑mindled approach
Able to pass a fingerprinted criminal background check (Livescan)
Able to pass a health screening, TB test, and drug test
Able to lift at least 40 lbs. and work on your feet
Able to bend, stretch, pull, push, etc. as needed for cooking tasks
Be able to lead staff in professionalism, communication, and reliable attendance
