Position: Experienced Maintenance Technician (Competitive Pay / On Call Stipends) Location: Grove Point Apartments, Norcross, GA
Summary The Maintenance Technician will complete maintenance requests and repairs for buildings and grounds, providing excellent customer service to residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete all service requests as assigned.
Complete all make-ready units.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or management company.
Provide personal tools.
Clean work area, tools, and equipment.
Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
Participate in "on-call" rotation and respond to emergency calls as needed.
Maintain positive communication with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
Adhere to company safety policies at all times.
Weekend work may be required.
Follow all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Three years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
Computer and online application proficiency.
Knowledge of Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo systems preferred.
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required for some duties.
Environmental and Physical Demands
Constant walking, standing, and sitting; frequent stair climbing; occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
Frequent lifting or moving up to 50 lbs; occasionally lifting or moving 50 lbs or more.
Strong finger and hand dexterity for grasping, turning, touching, and reaching.
Good eyesight and hearing; ability to comprehend and speak.
Work in varied conditions, indoors and outdoors; exposure to weather.
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes, chemicals, and electrical shock.
Moderate noise level in work environment.
