Job Description The Material Handler II has the responsibility of assisting transportation in the loading and unloading of donations from company trucks and contractors into the warehouse for efficient processing. Ideal candidates will be great team players and demonstrate high levels of personal accountability and responsibility. The position involves processing unloaded material, recycling, and general cleaning through a variety of mechanisms.
Responsibilities
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, bins, or trucks.
Assist warehouse in the scanning of cart information into the computer system.
Properly bale materials and donated goods.
Operate the warehouse, propane/electric forklifts safely.
Responsible for maintenance and proper storage of equipment.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Empty carts and sort material into categories.
Skilled and senior level material handlers operate bailing machines and propane/electric forklifts.
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent; years of experience may substitute.
Minimum 1 year of experience as MATHAND I in PA, or 2 years of experience in warehouse operations as a material handler.
Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts.
Physically capable of performing essential duties, lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to understand written and oral job instructions; follow all safety standards and policies.
Ability to multitask and assist production team when required.
