Job Title Loader Operator

About The Role The Loader Operator ensures incoming materials are properly stored or stockpiled. Maintains inventory of stored materials in a safe and orderly manner.

What You'll Accomplish

Operates straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with front‑mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoot to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas.

Performs the day‑to‑day activities of a plant (Ready Mix), duties could include tasks associated with maintaining the stationary equipment of various plants.

Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader. Moves lever to lower and tilt bucket and drives front‑end loader forward to force bucket into bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves lever to dump material.

Performs assignments outlined by supervisors and standard procedures are followed in the performance of duties. Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy in operation.

Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Maintains equipment in proper working order and reviews maintenance logs for repairs.

Safely operates loader and performs mechanic and general labor duties. Performs daily pre‑trip safety inspections, reporting defects or problems.

Maintains good housekeeping around the plant site and maintains berms in appropriate area. Loads bins to ensure appropriate stock levels and loads haul trucks while maintaining safe area for stock piling and customer load out.

Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience: 12 months of loader operator experience with CAT950, prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction, or asphalt.

Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills.

Proven safety record.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Strong knowledge and understanding related to company products, processes and equipment.

Additional Requirements

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers.

Able to prioritize work; strong organizational skills.

Ability to keep calm in stressful situations.

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
