Job Summary As a Dietary Dining Services Manager, you will manage a team of food service professionals and oversee overall service in Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing dining rooms as well as special functions. You will assist with interdepartmental relations and integrate the dining service department with the facility’s plan of operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee dining services operations of a medium to large volume location.
Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
Assist with profit and loss and budgeting for this account.
Work with the Chef and management team to create menus and deliver top‑quality food.
Handle meal services in a seated dining room setting, including quality improvement, sanitation, infection control, and facility‑related activities.
Support the rollout of new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary teams.
Prepare quarterly reports for client presentation.
Collaborate with marketing and culinary departments to increase sales through innovation and quality.
Communicate with the culinary department to ensure programs reflect the company’s vision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2 years of food service management experience.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
Waited table and catering experience preferred.
Knowledge of food and catering trends focused on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and internet.
ServSafe certification preferred.
Associate’s degree preferred.
