About TURN Community Services TURN Community Services was founded in 1973 by a group of parents who sought better services for their adult children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide resources to more than 850 individuals with developmental disabilities across Utah, from Brigham City to St. George. Our services include day programs, residential living, an art center, summer camp, and supported employment opportunities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENTIAL GROUP HOME PROGRAM COORDINATOR As a Residential Group Home Program Coordinator, you ensure the smooth operation of our group home. You work hands‑on with clients to safeguard their physical and financial well‑being, hold regular staff meetings, and remain available for on‑call duties. Your role involves oversight of all program aspects for individuals with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and contract standards and supporting client development in areas such as medical needs, social skills, personal hygiene, self‑care, behavior management, communication, safety, recreation, and independence.
Qualifications For a Residential Program Coordinator
1+ year of experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities
1+ year of supervisory experience (interviewing, hiring, evaluating, training, and scheduling staff)
Ability to complete required training within 3 months of employment
Ability to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical records
Personal and reliable transportation
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
Computer skills
Leadership skills
Experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication, time‑management, teamwork, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills are essential. If you can remain calm under stress, mentor effectively, and motivate others, you may be the ideal fit for this role.
WORK SCHEDULE
Week One: Three weekday swings (2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.; days negotiable) plus Saturday and Sunday (8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.)
Week Two: Monday–Friday (2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.)
Additional on‑call availability for emergencies, client activities, or extended hours may be required.
