Overview
Emerald Lakes Golf Course is seeking to hire Teaching Professionals who want to share their love of golf and knowledge with our community. Emerald Lakes Golf Course is a Top 50 facility for Operation 36 and a high traffic successful location for First Tee in the Greater Sacramento area. This course is in the heart of a busy family oriented community boasting a 16 covered mat area with the latest Trackman Range technology, 12 grass range stalls available to public, private grass area for coaching golf lessons, practice bunker area, practice chipping green, and practice putting green. The driving range also has lights for the community to enjoy practice and lessons in the evenings year round. Emerald Lakes is a par 33 with the best greens in the area and golf holes that provide opportunity to use every golf club in the bag. This fun course layout allows students and golfers to hone their game during playing lessons as well.

Booking system: Professionals will be given access to lesson booking software Professionals are responsible for scheduling golf lessons
Playing lesson access around public play
Golf club fitting equipment access
Book lessons for private instruction
Teaching Professional will coordinate with Golf Operations Supervisor and Head Professional for marketing book of business
Salary Information 60-65% Commission
$16.50 hourly for required district trainings
Experience Required
Two (2) years of coaching golf
PGA/LPGA Membership or PGA/LPGA Associate working towards membership preferred but not required.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, First Aid and CPR/AED certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment; Certification must be maintained through employment;
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid California class "C" driver's license, with a clean driving record and maintain it throughout employment
Essential Responsibilities
Provides group or private instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels; evaluates participants and teaches according to defined program outlines, descriptions, and goals;
Evaluates and communicates participants concerns to the designated supervisor; reports any potentially unsafe conditions to designated supervisor;
Arrives on time and in proper golf attire
Conducts set up and clean-up of instruction area and equipment.
Completes appropriate reports and forms as necessary;
Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with Department safety standards and the CSD Injury and Illness Prevention Program;
